Everyday People Are Revealing Why They Got Blocked By Celebs On Social Media
You'd think that celebrities don't really have the time of day to bother caring about what the rest of us say or do. It turns out we're wrong. Celebs are people too. When these Reddit users tweeted mean things to them, rather than let their feelings get hurt by strangers on the internet, these celebs decided to simply hit the block button.
Maybe we should all take a page from their book.
Two Blocks From World Leaders In Three Days
"I was blocked by Donald Trump on Twitter because I called him an orange fake-tanned rascal that doesn't know how to run a country. This led to me screenshotting the activity and jokingly reporting it to Boris Johnson.
"The Prime Minister replied that 'he isn't supportive of my behavior,' then he blocked me. Two blocks from world leaders in the space of three days." —alfiemcnallyyt
An Out-Of-This-World Kind Of Experience
"Elon Musk blocked me on Twitter back when ESA landed on that asteroid, I asked him how he felt that we finally made contact with his species." —AcidicPlague
It would certainly explain why he named his baby "X Æ A-12."
You Simply Can't Win
"Dane Cook blocked me on Twitter. He tweeted something along the lines of, 'Sometimes no matter what you do, you can't win.' And I replied, 'Did you make another movie?' Insta-blocked." —igivefreetickles
It doesn't really matter whether you win or not if you can just block whoever brings up your losses.
Gordon Ramsay Did Not Approve
"I was 13 and in a dumb group chat with my friends on Twitter. Someone in it was followed by him so they added him to it. He ended up blocking half of us (rightfully tbh).
"Also, I messaged him asking if I could be on Masterchef because I could make good ramen noodles and I think that also caused it." —equivalentofagiraffe
New Business Venture
"James Charles for putting up a picture of dog grooming products and captioning it: "The new James Charles collection" —Maleficent-Inside154
If we were James, we would take the opportunity to then start a new line for dogs. It could make millions!
A Peculiar Request
"Dr. Phil has me blocked on Instagram for commenting, 'I wanna run my teeth through your mustache.'" —danimalscrunchers
We're not sure what that even means, nor do we want to find out. It sounds like whoever said that may actually need their own counseling session with Dr. Phil.
That Is Dedication
"Kevin Hart. I said/ typed pineapple 1727 times." —peanutsfordarwin
What we would like to know is how long that took and how bored they must have been to actually take the time to do it.
Back In The MySpace Days
"Jeffree Star once blocked me on MySpace because I kept leaving comments on his page saying things like 'Hey man, great party last night!' to get random fans of his to send me friend requests.
"After maybe the third time, he responded angrily telling me to stop and blocked me from leaving comments." —BonesyDekay
An Eye For An Eye
"A famous astronomer blocked me because I blocked him. I was following him but his posts were overwhelming my feed. A few years later, thought I'd try again since Twitter’s made changes and he has me blocked. Alrighty then, Phil. Be that way." —weaponizedpastry
This story doesn't even make sense as the whole point of blocking someone is that they can't find your profile, which would make it impossible for them to block you too.
Just Wanted To Be Loved
"Many years ago, I did a REALLY bad photoshop of Bill Murray and me by the Hollywood sign. Posted it on his Facebook, and I was blocked. I still love you, Billy." —auntlola
That seems quite rude of Bill. Just because they lack photoshop skills doesn't mean they're not worthy of love.
Revealing The Truth
"Khloé Kardashian blocked me for commenting her real dad's name...even though Kylie Jenner tweeted a pic of Khloé and her real dad and captioned it saying so, but it was immediately deleted. It's Alex Roldan, Kris Jenner's ex-hairstylist." —QuallingtonBear
In the age of Google searches, blocking someone's comment won't change anything.
Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measure
"My brother was blocked by Josh Peck on Twitter. Josh posted a weird Chipotle ad he did and my brother commented, 'wtf are you doing?'" —Firestarhk
After his time on "Drake and Josh," Josh's career didn't really progress so he likely had to find a way to make money somehow...
Santa Is Real
"My friend got semi TikTok famous over an open-ended question on how she found out Santa wasn't real. That got popular and gained the attention of the guy verified as Santa on TikTok.
"He sent her a nicely worded message about how she shouldn't make a video about how Santa isn't real cause there are kids on the app. Then he blocked her." —pumpkinthighs. Guess she was on the naughty list that year.
Blocked Without Cause
"Blocked by Snooki and I have absolutely no idea why. I never and I mean ever comment on celebrities' IG's so I have no idea where it came from." —CGSkens
Apparently, some celebrities have autoblock, which automatically blocks users with connections that they don't like.
One Minute Of Fame
"Rihanna complimented me, saying that I had sexy lips in a pic I had posted on Twitter. My baby mama wasn't too happy about that, and @'ed Rihanna the rest of the day. She blocked us both by the next morning." —FabianPendragon
There's no way Rihanna could have known the man was taken. Plus I'd be flattered if Rihanna approved of my man.
