Mom Discovers Her Husband Is Cheating After Reading The Local Newspaper
There is one thing that almost all cheaters have in common: They're going to get caught at some point. It's hard to say who will catch them, or when; maybe they've already been caught in the past and have gone back to their cheating ways. Regardless, cheating almost always comes out, one way or another.
When TikTok user @living_with_sj made a video saying, "Tell me how you found out your ex-spouse was cheating on you #stitch," she received some wild responses. One mom, in particular, shared the horrible story about the unexpected way she discovered her husband was not only cheating on her but, but keeping an even bigger secret.
"How Did You Find Out Your Ex Was Cheating?"
A video "stitch" is a feature on TikTok that allows users to take the first few seconds of someone else's video and stitch it together with their own video response or contribution to the content.
The clip starts by playing @living_with_sj's original TikTok video, then cuts to @aaddison01's "stitched" response where she begins by saying, "Say less, I have a great story."
A Week Before Her 10th Wedding Anniversary She Discovered Something Unsettling
The woman in the video is named Amelia "Ami" Addison. She reveals that about a week before her 10th wedding anniversary, she found something disturbing.
She was at work in her office reading a local newspaper when she noticed her husband's name somewhere it shouldn't be.
Her Husband's Name Was In The Birth Announcements Section Of The Local Paper
She explains, "At that time in the newspaper, they would publish birth announcements. The parents' names, sex of the baby, date they were born, what hospital..."
She saw one name that immediately jumped off the page at her.
She Checked The Hospital Website To Confirm Her Suspicions
She says: "I see my husband's name and some other female's name." She knew that it was him because he has "an unusual name" which immediately made her suspicious.
She decided to do a little more research and went to the hospital website to see if there was more information there—unfortunately she found more than she bargained for.
Her Husband Had A Baby Boy With Another Woman, But That's Not All She Found
The hospital website posted pictures of new babies and their families. Ami says she typed her husband's name and the unknown female's name into the search bar. "Sure enough, they had a baby boy a few days prior."
But that wasn't the only shocking discovery she made.
He Also Had A Secret Daughter
The hospital website revealed that her husband and his mystery woman also had a baby girl about a year and a half before the birth of their son.
Ami looks directly at the camera and recalls: "So yeah... That's how I found out I was being cheated on." The foot of a small toddler can be seen in the back seat of the vehicle she's filming in.

Her video has been watched nearly 1 million times on TikTok and continues to gain views. Commenters have not been shy to share their own similar experiences with cheating partners.
TikTok user @Marie8840 commented: "Men will have a WHOLE SECOND LIFE. How do they do it?!? I can't even juggle work and my own monogamous relationship," with a sweating emoji.

Another commenter, @chrissymary, said that her grandmother had a similar experience, writing: "Similar to my grandmother. She found out he purchased a home in the newspaper."
@mrsbling1908 commented: "That happened to me with my ex-fiancé. To this day he doesn't know how I found out. He thinks someone in his family told me." Doesn't matter how, the truth always finds a way to come out!
She Took The Kids And Checked In To A Hotel
Ami uploaded a series of follow-up videos to address some of the most popular comments and answer the most frequently asked questions on her now-viral video.
In a video titled "Part 2," she explains that she waited to confront him to be sure she was ready and prepared. She left home with her three children and checked into a hotel without offering him an explanation.
She Ditched His Clothes And Belongings In The Rain
After some impressive sleuth work, Ami found out where he was staying with his other family and packed up all of his belongings to deliver to him there. Well, she delivered them...to the driveway. In the rain. With an ironic anniversary card.
She says that her children were the first priority through the separation and the reason behind her decision to leave.

When Ami confronted her husband about his relationship, he originally denied knowing the woman, calling her a "work friend." When she asked about the birth announcements he said he knew nothing about his children, accusing Ami of being paranoid and crazy.
He finally admitted that he was lying and it was all "just a big mistake" because he truly loved his wife. He said he was willing to abandon his other family if his wife would take him back. But Ami had seen too much of his true personality and was ready to end their relationship.

In "Part 11" of Ami's breakdown, she talks about the few times she communicated with "the other woman" in the story. They chatted long enough for her to find out that this woman was apparently okay with being the "side chick" and said she had been comfortable doing it for five years.
Look, I'm all for making an open relationship work, but it only works if everyone involved is aware of what's going on.

She goes on to highlight the fact that her ex-husband was the person at fault here, not his mistress or any of the children involved. The man she married who ended up breaking his promises was the one to be blamed.
The divorce was challenging and complicated, but in the end, Ami seems to have gotten a pretty good hand in life. She has been happily remarried with her partner for eight years now. At just 47, it likely feels like she's lived multiple lifetimes already!

A woman named Yulia who lives in Russia was scrolling through the "discover" page on Instagram when she saw something that threw her for a loop.
A Familiar View
She saw a photo of a very familiar view.
It looked exactly like the view from her apartment. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was the view from her apartment, a view that she shared with her husband, Nazar.
The Window Gave It Away
But who posted the picture? Yulia clicked on the profile and saw that it belonged to a woman she didn't recognize.
This was not someone whom she had invited into her home.
A Strange Comment
Yulia was suspicious, so she decided to post a comment on this stranger's picture. She wrote, "Beautiful view from my husband's bedroom window."
She had a sinking feeling in her stomach that her husband wasn't being faithful.

Yulia started digging. She wanted to know everything she could about this strange woman and what she had been up to.
The woman, Vlada Abramovich, had many more interesting pics, including some of Yulia's husband.

At this point, Yulia was pretty sure that her husband was having an affair. When she confronted him about it, he tried to shrug it off.

When Yulia kept pushing, Nazar said the photo came from when she was out of town and he "invited some friends over for a drink before they went to the cinema."

Yulia is a smart cookie. She had gotten this far all on her own, and she was not about to fall for Nazar's gaslighting tactics.
