Woman On Tinder Says Short Guys Are ‘The Worst’ But Gets Offended When A Match Turns The Tables
Everyone has preferences when it comes to the type of person they like to date. Some people have physical attributes they prefer, and others like their partners to have a good sense of humor.
And sometimes, people have VERY strong opinions about one thing in particular: height. One woman on Tinder who claims short men are "undateable" got a taste of her own medicine.
Online Dating
Online dating seems like an easy way to meet someone special, but it's actually not as simple as that.
Setting up your profile is a lengthy task, not to mention choosing the best photos of yourself to show off. Often, you end up speaking with a ton of matches but never meeting half of them.
You Can Tell People About Yourself
One of the most important parts of an online dating profile is sharing important information about yourself.
On an app like Tinder, you can share what music you like, the area you live in, what your job is, and what your hobbies are. Some users take things a step further and even include their dating preferences in there.
One Reddit User Shared A Bad Tinder Experience
Reddit user janmayeno shared his experience with one girl from Tinder.
In her bio, she explains that she loves dogs, hates cats (harsh), is 5'7", and people who are shorter shouldn't swipe right on her.
"They're The Worst"
So, our Redditor decides to message this girl with an intention of roasting her for her opinion on all men 5'6" and shorter.
He asks her where she is from, and eventually finds out that she is just visiting Miami.
She Asks Him How Tall He Is
After some more conversation, janmayeno discovers that his Tinder match likes taller guys so she can wear heels.
Redditor janmayeno says that he is tall, but also asks her why she wants to wear heels all the time.
The Two Seem To Be Vibing (Or Are They?)
The woman has a simple answer to this question, and replies: "Cuz they are hot."
And janmayeno decides to hate on short guys a little in order to bond with the girl.
"Let's Sterilize Them"
He takes this joke super far, suggesting we should sterilize all short men.
And she seems to agree, or at least she doesn't really disagree... And turns out, she's only in Miami for a few days, and she loves the summers in Wisconsin.
"I Just Don't Like Fat People"
Then, janmayeno decides to bring out the big guns. He says he tries to stay away from cold North American places because the "girls tend to be fatter."
Clearly, the woman doesn't enjoy this because she swears at him. The Reddit prankster continues with his anti-big girls rant.
The User Wonders Why He Can't Have His Own Opinions, But She Can
The woman says she's going to block him, but he still manages to message her, asking, if she doesn't like short people, why can't he say he doesn't like fat people?
He thinks it's fair to have his own opinions, just like she does.
Double Standard
Most people in the comments thought it wasn't fair to be able to explicitly say you hate short guys, but not be able to say that you don't like chubbier women.
Others explained that it's okay to have preferences, but this woman took it too far with her double standard. I mean, she literally said short guys are the worst.
All Heights Are Great
Dating or not dating someone based on their height or weight sounds a little stupid to me, but I'm big on personality. If I'm attracted to you, then I'll date you.
As a 6'0" woman, I'm sure tons of guys have looked at me and thought that I'm too tall. But hey, that's okay, because even if you're the most attractive person in the world, people would still find bad things to say about you.
Everyone Has Preferences
Everyone is entitled to an opinion when it comes to dating.
Even though some people thought that it was rude for the woman to share the fact that she won't date short men on her profile, some thought it made sense so no short guys waste their time with her.
