When it comes to dating, it sometimes feels like the wild, wild west. If you've ever used dating apps, you'd also know that some people are really picky.

One woman has gone viral on TikTok for sharing her unconventional dating rule that takes the usual trope of dating men who are six feet or taller and turning it into a points system. Do you think you'll try it?

Much how people have their favorite dessert or holiday, everyone has their own preference for what is desirable in a potential lover. Some have preferences that pertain to personality traits, such as a sense of humor or ambition, while other preferences involve physical appearance.

When it comes to appearance, height is a common preference, and for many women, if a man is under six feet tall, they're not interested.

When it comes to dating preferences, many women say they will only date a man who's six feet or taller. Rather than dating men specifically for their height, the goal is to get to six feet or over with a points system.

Wanting to quell the notion that some women have regarding only dating guys who are at least six feet tall, @thelittleblondeyogi says when dating a guy, start with his initial height. For each positive attribute, such as being "smart," "ambitious," or "kind," for example, you add one inch to his overall score.

"It really helps guys who have redeeming character traits rise to the top," she says.

On the other hand, however, if a guy has certain characteristics that you'd deem as negatives, such as being "an a**hole," "playing too many video games," or "never calling his mom," then @thelittleblondeyogi says you deduct an inch for each negative trait.

TikTok comment: Only problem...what if they are already 6 foot but don't do anything to add or take away? Then you could be valuing someone who hasn't earned it lol. Reply: WOW. Nothing to add or take? That's a risk

Some people who viewed @thelittleblondeyogi's TikTok were skeptical and said that her "dating rule" was just a glorified pros and cons list. Other users, however, said that if the baseline is for a man to get to "six feet" worth of points, then men who are naturally taller have to do less work to meet those expectations.
