Woman Puts Herself On Blast For Ditching Her Date So She Could Go Home And Eat Pizza
When it comes to first dates, we often look at the perfect ones and the terrible ones. But, what about the hilarious ones? Sometimes it can be hard to look at ourselves critically, but others have a self-deprecating sense of humor.
This sums up one woman who described her first date fail on TikTok and made it known just how much she loves pizza.
Well-Deserved Me Time
What's your perfect version of "me time"? A long bubble bath? Reading a book in a local coffee shop? Eating a pizza in bed?
Sometimes all we want to do is relax, but then we remember something horrifying: we have social commitments. While we begrudgingly drag ourselves to our social event, one woman on TikTok is putting herself on blast for not letting something like social responsibilities get in the way.
The TikTok
This is Lyss, also known as @lyssreyy on TikTok. Her recent self-deprecating story of a first date fail is going viral with over 120,000 views, and I guarantee you'll all be able to relate.
She begins the TikTok by saying, "So, dating is a nightmare. We all know this by now. But I don't really see people putting themselves on blast, and that's what I'm gonna do."
A Match Made In Heaven
Lyss recently matched with a new guy on a dating app and the pair begin chatting casually. The guy compliments Lyss' hairstyle, but what he says next definitely took her aback.
"Well, it's certainly longer than last time we met," he writes. "A lil wavier too."
The Bar
Confused, Lyss asks whether they've met before, and the man responds that they have. She asks for specific details to help jog her memory, such as locations and dates.
He names a bar where the pair apparently met before in the past. Lyss explains in the video that she actually used to live down the street from this particular bar, so meeting the guy there was a possibility as she used to frequent it all the time.
Priorities Are In Order
Still trying to jog her memory, Lyss apologizes for not being able to remember, but asks whether they spoke casually at the bar one night, or went out on an actual date. He says he remembers having a nice conversation and enjoying several cocktails, and then delivers this bombshell of how the date ended.
"'Then you dropped my a** for some pizza by yourself,'" Lyss says. "That definitely tracks."
Perhaps A Second Date?
Lyss' comical first date fail story is going viral on TikTok, and users everywhere are commenting on how relatable it is, because—let's be real—nothing comes in between us and pizza. Some users even hope this encounter will lead to a second date.
If they do go on a second date, it should probably be at a pizza restaurant.
