People Who Are Done With Dating

It seems like there is somehow nothing but single people, and yet everyone you're ever interested in is taken. It's so normal these days to meet people through apps that we've created a whole new language around using them. If you're not meeting someone on an app, then maybe you're lucky and you met them through friends or at work, which has its own problems.

The bottom line is that dating is rough, and it's a wonder that any of us even bother with it anymore. These people certainly won't, that's for sure.

At Some Point, We Just Have To Be Fine With It

Why is it that it feels like you're constantly surrounded by people all the time, but none of them seem like interesting or viable partners to date? It's one of life's cruelest jokes.

This is what most of us chant as we get ready to go out on a first date. The first date is too soon for someone to know all the different ways you're insane.

Is he everything you ever wanted, or is he just over six feet tall? It's almost impossible to tell, and most of us can't until after we've wasted at least a year dating someone.

Oh, I'm sorry, didn't you want to be in a relationship without any of the perks of being in a relationship? That's exactly how dating works these days, so yes. Let's waste each other's time!

It's too bad that we seem to live in a time when being nice to someone seems suspect, so the best way to communicate our feelings is through picking on someone we really like.

This isn't to say that all straight men are bad, it's just that most of them are. Even the good ones have their issues like not brushing their teeth or owning no furniture whatsoever.

At Least There Are Still Times When You Just Know

You know that you're never going to hang out with them again. The only thing left to do is decide if you're going to ghost or be a nice person and explain to them that you would sooner die than hear them talk again.

To be fair, it's nice that he's actively trying not to be that guy who hits on women at the gym, because that can be annoying. But women can usually figure out pretty quickly if someone is being genuine or not.

The idea that there is someone out there for everyone honestly sounds fake. Soulmates are a sham, and there is no way that there is only one person for you—there are probably many. They're all emotionally unavailable, though.
