Woman Shows How She Discovered Her Boyfriend Was Cheating And She Deserves A Gold Medal
The last thing anyone wants in a committed relationship is to learn that their significant other is actually a cheater. But the internet is also filled with the shocking and ingenious ways people busted their cheating exes.
One woman went viral for illustrating how she deduced her boyfriend was cheating, all from a staged photo that ended up being his demise.
The TikTok
Megan Marie, also known as @lifeofjill1290 on TikTok, recently went viral for the cunning way she figured out her boyfriend was cheating, using nothing but a text message and a photo. The TikTok has received nearly 8 million views, 1.4 million likes and she doesn't even have to say a single word.
She captions the video, "Do I have dumb written on my forehead" and "#ClearGenius."
An Innocent Text Message
Our story begins with Megan recounting a text message conversation that she and her (presumably now ex) boyfriend were having. She first texts him "hey, wyd" (what are you doing). He then replies back "watching the olympics with the boys, see u tomorrow." Included in the text is a photo of a living room TV showing one of the Olympic events.
Looks innocent enough, right? Well, that's what Megan thought at first too.
Pinot Noir Now Busted
Let's dive a little deeper into the photograph, shall we?
Megan zooms in on the photo her boyfriend sent her. In the first zoomed shot, we see his reflection in a mirrored TV stand which shows him sitting down on the couch, denim jeans and all. But then what's that on the table? It's a glass of red wine.
The Second Glass Of Wine
Megan then zooms in on another part of the photo her boyfriend sent her. In the reflection, we see a second glass of wine on the table, but that's not the worst part. In his text, the boyfriend had said he was watching the Olympics with his male friends, but sitting on the couch next to him isn't another guy, but the bare legs of an unknown woman.
Oh damn.
Empty Picture Frames
Finally, we see a picture frame that's on top of the mirrored TV stand. You'd probably expect to see a photo of a happy couple, but further fuelling her suspicions that her boyfriend is cheating, Megan notices that the picture frame is empty, leading some to wonder if the frame contained a photo of him and his new girlfriend, and he removed it specifically for this staged photo.
In addition is a pile of random books, one of which is titled "Chanel."
You're Disqualified
It's unknown whether the living room belongs to Megan, her ex-boyfriend, or his mistress, but the feminine taste in furniture, a bouquet of flowers, glasses of wine, and the books beside the empty picture frame led some TikTok users to suspect he was actually at the home of the woman he was cheating on Megan with.
So while Megan's boyfriend wasn't lying about watching the Olympics, when it came to their relationship, he's disqualified.
